How to Install IPTV on Enigma2 Using the XtreamTV Plugin

Enigma2-based satellite receivers (Dreambox, VU+, GigaBlue, Octagon...) can run MYSTARR alongside your existing satellite channels using the free XtreamTV plugin.

Enigma2 is the Linux-based operating system used by most satellite receivers — Dreambox, VU+, GigaBlue, Octagon and many others. The XtreamTV plugin lets these receivers pull IPTV channels through the Xtream Codes API, so MYSTARR shows up as a regular channel bouquet right next to your satellite channels.

Before you start: your receiver needs an active internet connection (Ethernet strongly recommended) and access to its plugin/package feed.

Step 1 — Install the XtreamTV plugin

From the receiver's main menu, go to Menu → Plugins → Green button (Download) → Extensions, search for "XtreamTV" and install it. If it doesn't appear in your feed, it can also be installed via IPK file through your receiver's file manager — your box's community forum will have the correct file for your exact model.

Step 2 — Open the plugin and add your account

Go to Menu → Plugins → XtreamTV and select "Add new account". Enter:

  • Server address — the Portal URL from your activation email
  • Username
  • Password

Confirm, and the plugin will connect and pull down your channel categories automatically.

Step 3 — Generate the bouquet

Inside the plugin, select "Get bouquet" or "Create bouquet" — this converts your MYSTARR channel list into a standard Enigma2 bouquet file. Choose whether to import all categories or only the ones you want, then confirm.

Step 4 — Find your channels

Exit to live TV and press the Bouquet button on your remote. Your new MYSTARR bouquet(s) will appear in the list alongside your satellite bouquets, ready to browse like any other channel group.

Tip: split large categories (e.g. "Sports") into smaller sub-bouquets during the import step — Enigma2's channel list UI becomes noticeably slower with very large single bouquets on older hardware.

Troubleshooting

  • Plugin not found in the feed: your receiver's firmware image may need updating first — check Menu → Software Update.
  • "Connection failed" when adding the account: confirm there are no extra spaces in the server address, and that your subscription is active in your wallet dashboard.
  • Channels appear but freeze: see our guide on fixing buffering & freezing.
