MAG boxes (MAG 254, 256, 322, 324, 349, 351...) run on the Stalker Middleware portal system and, like Smart STB devices, are activated using the box's MAC address rather than a username and password.
Step 1 — Locate your MAC address
Turn on your MAG box and go to System Settings → System Info (gear icon in the top menu). Note the 12-character MAC address exactly as shown.
Step 2 — Send your MAC address to support
Contact us on WhatsApp with your order number and MAC address so we can whitelist your device on our servers.
Step 3 — Configure the portal URL
Go to System Settings → Servers → Portals, select portal 1, and enter the Portal URL from your activation email in the "Portal URL" field. Press the red button (or "Save") to apply and restart the device when prompted.
Step 4 — Verify the connection
After rebooting, the box should show "Portal 1: Connected" in the servers menu, and your channel list will populate automatically. No further login is required for future power-ons.
Tip: If your MAG box supports HDMI-CEC, enabling it lets you control playback with your TV remote instead of the box's own remote — a small but genuinely useful convenience.
Troubleshooting
- "Portal 1: Not connected": double-check the portal URL for typos and confirm your internet connection is active (try a wired connection if using Wi-Fi).
- Black screen after boot: a factory reset (System Settings → Reset to factory settings) followed by re-entering the portal URL usually resolves firmware glitches on older units.
- Video stutters on playback: see our guide on fixing buffering & freezing.
