How to Install IPTV on an Amazon Firestick

The Firestick is one of the most affordable and popular devices for IPTV. Since our app isn't on the Amazon App Store, you'll sideload it using the Downloader app — it only takes a few minutes.

Amazon's Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Cube are excellent, low-cost devices for IPTV. Because Amazon's App Store doesn't list third-party IPTV players, you'll install the app using Downloader, a free sideloading tool available directly on the Amazon App Store — this is a completely standard and safe method used by millions of Fire TV owners.

Before you start: have your MYSTARR activation email ready with your login details and the APK download link for the recommended player.

Step 1 — Allow apps from unknown sources

On your Fire TV home screen, go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options. Turn on "Apps from Unknown Sources" and "ADB Debugging". This simply allows installing apps outside the Amazon Store — it doesn't affect your device's security in normal use.

Step 2 — Install the Downloader app

Go back to the home screen, open the Find tab, search for "Downloader" and install the app (icon: an orange arrow into a box). Open it once installed.

Step 3 — Download the MYSTARR player

In Downloader, enter the APK URL provided in your activation email into the address bar and select Go. Once the file finishes downloading, select Install, then Open. You can delete the APK file afterwards when prompted — this only removes the installer, not the app.

Step 4 — Log in to your subscription

Open the app and choose "Xtream Codes API". Enter your Server URL, Username and Password exactly as shown in your activation email, then confirm. Your channels, VOD and EPG will load automatically.

Tip: on the base Firestick (non-4K), close background apps before streaming — the device has limited RAM and this noticeably reduces buffering during peak hours.

Troubleshooting

  • Downloader shows "Forbidden" or won't fetch the file: your Fire TV's date & time may be incorrect — check Settings → My Fire TV → About → Date & Time.
  • App installs but crashes on open: restart the Firestick (Settings → My Fire TV → Restart) and reopen.
  • Playback freezes or buffers: see our full guide on fixing buffering & freezing.
